Escharotic Treatment

Escharotic therapy is a topical treatment of a solution of zinkchloride, bloodroot and curcumin to the uterine cervix and if necessary the vagina. It is used to remove abnormal dysplastic cells and HPV infected cells. We combine this with oral supplements. Cervical escharotic treatments are a non-surgical treatment alternative to loop electrosurgical excision procedure (LEEP), cryotherapy and conization. Cervical escharotic treatments have been performed in individuals with positive high risk HPV status in addition to being diagnosed with cervical intra-epithelial neoplasia, referred to as CIN I, CIN II, CIN III.

The solution remains on the cervix only for 1-2 minutes. The infected and dysplastic cells stain yellow. The normal cells are not being harmed.

There are several natural health practioners as dr Doni, Ellen Lewis, Nick Leroy and others who are doing these treatments. As a medical doctor I went to U.S. several years ago to learn about this treatment. We are doing these treatments now for 3 years.
With pictures we can see the progress of the treatments. Our medical team is highly skilled, if necessary we refer to the gynecologist.
In our medical praxis we check with the pap smear the dysplasia and the hpv virus.
There is no scarring or damage with these treatments. The loop electrosurgical excision procedure (LEEP) can cause deformity of the cervix as well as scarring. After a LEEP in a lot of cases the HPV virus is still present.

With proper medical supervision, escharotic therapies are safe. A typical course of treatment is one or two times a week. This will vary depending on the severity of the cervical lesions, and response to treatment. The average is 10 treatments, but depending on the severity of cervical dysplasia, the number of treatments may be extended.

We, Jose van Ditmarsch, medical doctor, Lieke Melchers POH-S, and Kim Ephraim, doctor’s assistant, are doing the treatments in the Medical Practice in Huizen, schaepmanlaan 5.
